The image was sketched September 13, 1934 and was used for earlier woodblock prints. This oban-sized print was first published for Hasui's one-hundred-day memorial (mid February 1958). Republished in December 1979 in an edition of 350, commissioned by Mainichi Shimbun for the Narazaki catalogue raisonne. Republished in 2002 in a batch of 200 with a Heisei seal. Republished in 2021 in a batch of 200 with a Reiwa seal.
The seal on left reads zeppitsu, 絶筆 or final brush work.
The seal on right in the 1979 edition is the Watanabe family seal and copyright to Watanabe Tadasu. The number in the edition of 350 is on verso.
